Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Barcelona in Context collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it and which rights you can exercise under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD). The short version: we collect only what we need to answer you and organise your visit, we never sell your data, and you can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete it.

Data controller

The data controller is Barcelona in Context (legal identifiers pending publication — see note above), reachable at info@barcelonaincontext.com.

What we collect and why

Inquiry and booking data. When you write to us or send a form (name, email, travel dates, group details, message), we use it to answer you, prepare proposals and operate the service you request. Legal basis: pre-contractual and contractual necessity (art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Correspondence. We keep the emails you exchange with us to manage your visit and our legal obligations. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).

Technical data. This website does not use advertising trackers. Hosting infrastructure may process technical logs (IP, user agent) for security. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Privacy-focused analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic such as pages viewed, referrers, approximate location, browser, operating system and device type. It does not use cookies or advertising identifiers, does not retain IP addresses with analytics events, and its anonymous daily visitor hash expires after 24 hours. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring and improving this website.

Retention, recipients and transfers

We keep inquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and, if you become a client, for the periods required by Spanish tax and consumer law. We share data only with providers needed to operate this website or deliver your visit, including Vercel for hosting and aggregate web analytics and monument ticketing providers where relevant, and never sell it. We do not transfer data outside the EEA except where a provider offers adequate safeguards under GDPR chapter V.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection by writing to info@barcelonaincontext.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority (AEPD, aepd.es) or the Catalan authority (APDCAT).
