Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the booking and delivery of tours, visits and services offered by Barcelona in Context through this website and by direct correspondence. The essentials: this website publishes no rates and takes no payments — every tour is quoted individually in writing; a booking exists only once we confirm the agreed itinerary and price in writing; and every service is delivered by licensed professionals.

Bookings and confirmation

This website does not sell tours or take bookings directly. Everything shown here is descriptive: you send an enquiry through the contact form or by email, we reply with a personalised written proposal stating a total price, and a booking exists only when you accept that proposal and we confirm it in writing. Until then, dates and guides are not reserved.

For tours that include monument admissions (for example the Sagrada Família or Park Güell), timed tickets are purchased in your name upon confirmation and are subject to the monuments’ own conditions.

Regular scheduled visits at the venues we operate — the Palau de la Música Catalana, La Casa de la Seda and Park Güell — are ticketed through each venue’s own channels and are governed by that venue’s terms of sale and admission, not by these terms.

Quotes and payment

We do not publish rates, price lists or “from” prices on this website. Every tour and custom itinerary is quoted individually, because the price depends on group size, duration, admissions, transport and season; any figure you are given is the one in your written proposal.

All prices include VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. Payment terms — deposit, balance and accepted methods — are stated in each written proposal. No payment is taken through this website.

Changes and cancellations

Changes requested by the client are accommodated where guides and venues allow. Cancellation conditions, including monument-ticket costs that the venues do not refund, are set out in the Cancellation Policy and in each written proposal.

Our responsibilities and yours

Barcelona in Context delivers services with licensed Official Guides of Catalonia and professional suppliers, and carries the insurance required for its activity. We are not liable for delays or closures imposed by monuments, weather or authorities, though we will always propose the best available alternative. Clients are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide and for arriving at agreed meeting points on time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes will be submitted to the courts of Barcelona, without prejudice to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules.
