Barcelona holds more Modernista monuments than any other city in the world, and many of them are inscribed on the GlossaryUNESCO World HeritageBarcelona holds nine UNESCO-inscribed properties: seven works by Gaudí, plus Domènech i Montaner’s Palau de la Música Catalana — which we manage — and Hospital de Sant Pau. list under the “Works of Antoni Gaudí”. The route begins along Passeig de Gràcia, the old road that once connected Barcelona to the village of Gràcia and became the showcase avenue of the city’s bourgeoisie. Here your guide reads the façades of the Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller, Casa Lleó i Morera and Gaudí’s La Pedrera — the famous “block of discord”, where rival architects answered each other building by building.

From there, the tour continues inside Park Güell, Gaudí’s unfinished garden city, where the serpentine bench, the hypostyle hall and the GlossaryTrencadísMosaic technique of broken ceramic shards, from the Catalan trencar, “to break”. Gaudí and Jujol raised it from workshop thrift to architectural surface — Park Güell’s serpentine bench is its masterwork. mosaics reveal how he thought about nature, structure and colour. The final movement is the Sagrada Família itself: the façades, the forest of columns and the light of the nave, explained by a guide who works with this building all year round.

Because the tour is private, it flexes around you: more time inside the basilica, a slower pace with children, a deeper focus on structural engineering or on Gaudí’s biography — you decide with your guide.

Questions, answered

Are the Sagrada Família and Park Güell tickets really included?

Yes. The price for two people includes admission to both monuments, the private guide for four hours and private transport between stops. We book timed entries in advance so you skip the ticket lines.

How much walking does this tour involve?

Expect two to three kilometres of easy walking in total, split between Passeig de Gràcia, Park Güell and the Sagrada Família. Private transport covers the distances between the three areas. The pace is set by your group, and the route can be adapted for reduced mobility — tell us when you book.

In which languages is the tour available?

English, Spanish and Catalan as standard. All our guides are Official Guides of Catalonia licensed by the Generalitat de Catalunya. If you need another language, ask us — our guide network covers several more.

Is this tour suitable for children?

Yes. Private tours are the format that works best with children: the guide adjusts the storytelling, the group moves at its own rhythm, and there is no waiting for strangers. Many families combine this tour with a morning or afternoon at the beach.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The tour runs rain or shine — the Sagrada Família visit is indoors, and Park Güell is beautiful in any light. If conditions are truly severe we will propose an alternative date or itinerary before cancelling anything.
