The route begins along Passeig de Gràcia, the old road that once connected Barcelona to the village of Gràcia and became the showcase avenue of the city’s bourgeoisie. Here your guide reads the façades of the Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller, Casa Lleó i Morera and Gaudí’s La Pedrera — the famous “block of discord”, where rival architects answered each other building by building.
From there, the tour continues inside Park Güell, Gaudí’s unfinished garden city, where the serpentine bench, the hypostyle hall and the GlossaryTrencadísMosaic technique of broken ceramic shards, from the Catalan trencar, “to break”. Gaudí and Jujol raised it from workshop thrift to architectural surface — Park Güell’s serpentine bench is its masterwork. mosaics reveal how he thought about nature, structure and colour. The final movement is the Sagrada Família itself: the façades, the forest of columns and the light of the nave, explained by a guide who works with this building all year round.
