Is Maritime Museum entry included?

Yes. The tour includes admission to the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, housed in the medieval Royal Shipyards, and a guided visit of the building and its collections, including the full-scale replica of the royal galley.

Will we go inside La Llotja de Mar?

The Gothic trading hall of La Llotja is not a standard museum and its interior access is limited, so we cannot guarantee it. We arrange entry where it is possible; when it is not, your guide tells the building’s story from the exterior. The Maritime Museum and shipyards are always the core of the visit.

What is the royal galley in the museum?

It is a full-scale replica of the Reial, the flagship galley from which Don Juan de Austria led the Holy League fleet at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. Built inside the hall that once produced such ships, it shows the scale, technique and human effort of Mediterranean galley warfare.

Is this tour suitable for children?

Very much so. The shipyards and the galley are dramatic and easy to grasp, and the sea stories — battles, trade, shipbuilding — hold children’s attention well. Your guide adjusts the level and pace to the ages in your group.

How much walking is involved?
