Do you really run the Palau de la Música’s visits?

Yes. Barcelona in Context operates the monument’s public guided visits, so our guides know the building from the inside and lead your private visit with first-hand knowledge of its history, its symbolism and its daily life as a working concert hall.

Is admission to the Palau included?

Yes. We arrange your entry in advance so your group visits with a private Official Guide at the agreed time. The visit covers the foyer, staircase and the main concert hall, subject to the concert and rehearsal schedule.

Do we hear music during the visit?

The Palau is above all an architectural visit rather than a concert. On some visits a short organ demonstration is included in the hall, though this is not guaranteed. If you would like to hear the Palau in full, we can help you attend one of its concerts separately.

When is the best light inside the concert hall?

The hall is unique for being lit by natural daylight, so a daytime visit shows the stained glass at its best, with the inverted skylight glowing overhead. Bright late-morning and midday hours are especially striking.
